Evox’s goal as the “original Red Ranger” is to “fix” the Morphin Grid, which he believes has become bloated and dangerous over decades of use. His “evil” actions are actually surgical strikes against Grid-hubs that he deems unstable.
The Beast Morphers eventually realize that Evox is right, but his methods are too destructive. The season ends with the Rangers and Evox collaborating to “reboot” the Grid into a leaner, safer system. The Grid is reset, and while the “Power” is gone, the world is left with a new form of “Beast Energy” that is localized and safe for everyone to use.
