Best Power Rangers Multi-Part Episodes: Part 1

The Original Era (MMPR – In Space)
Mighty Morphin (S1): “Green with Evil” (5 Parts) – This is the gold standard for Ranger arcs. It introduced Tommy Oliver as a brainwashed villain who systematically dismantled the team and the Command Center. It’s famous for its high stakes and for giving the Rangers their first true “loss” before Tommy joined the side of good.

Mighty Morphin (S2): “The Wedding” (3 Parts) – This arc fundamentally changed the show’s dynamic by bringing Lord Zedd and Rita Repulsa together as a married couple. While the Rangers fought for their lives in an abandoned theater, the villains’ union created a comedic yet formidable power shift that lasted for years.

Mighty Morphin (S3): “Ninja Quest” (4 Parts) – Following the destruction of the original Thunderzords, the Rangers traveled to the Desert of Despair to find Ninjor. This saga introduced the Ninja powers and the iconic Ninja Megazord, serving as a soft reboot for the show’s aesthetic.

Zeo (S4): “The Gold Ranger Saga” (Multi-Part) – The mystery of the Gold Ranger’s identity spanned several episodes, eventually revealing Trey of Triforia. When he could no longer hold the power, the original Red Ranger, Jason Lee Scott, made a legendary return to take over the mantle.

Turbo (S5): “Passing the Torch” (2 Parts) – This was a massive turning point where the entire veteran cast (Tommy, Adam, Katherine, and Tanya) retired, handing their powers over to a new generation (T.J., Carlos, Cassie, and Ashley). It remains one of the most emotional transitions in the franchise.

In Space (S6): “Countdown to Destruction” (2 Parts) – Widely considered the best finale in PR history, this saga concluded the “Zordon Era.” It featured a universal invasion by the United Alliance of Evil, the public unmasking of the Rangers, and the final sacrifice of Zordon.
