The “Dark Ninja” arts allow the Rangers to move through shadows and use illusions that confuse even Lothor’s generals. However, the more they use these powers, the more they begin to see the world in shades of gray, questioning if Sensei’s “Light” academy was just as manipulative as Lothor’s.
Cam’s future-utopia is revealed to be a world without free will, where Lothor has “stopped” all crime by removing choice. The Rangers return to their own time and choose to destroy both academies, deciding that the world is safer if the secret ninja powers are forgotten by everyone, including themselves.
