Power Rangers Samurai: Alternate Outline

Master Xandred’s desire to flood the world is revealed to be an attempt to “cool” a planet that is literally burning from the inside out due to human industrialization. The Rangers’ struggle is about finding a way to cool the Earth’s core without drowning the population in the Sanzu River.

Lauren’s “Super” powers involve her literally freezing the Sanzu River, turning it into a massive bridge of ice that connects the human and Nighlok realms. The series ends with the Nighlok becoming the planet’s “cooling technicians,” living in the frozen river and maintaining the Earth’s temperature while humans work to reduce their footprint.
