What if Cam Watanabe became the Green Samurai Ranger from episode one?

In Ninja Storm, Cam was the “tech guy” who wasn’t allowed to fight because of a promise his father made to his mother. If he had defied his father early on and found the Samurai Amulet in the premiere, the team would have been a quartet from the start. Cam’s genius-level intellect combined with his superior ninja skills would have made him the de facto leader, potentially making Shane, Dustin, and Tori feel like his students rather than his equals.

The tension between Cam and his father (Sensei) would have been the primary conflict of the season. It would have been a story about a son proving his worth to a father who was blinded by fear and tradition. The “Thunder Rangers” arc would have been much shorter, as Cam likely would have figured out their identities and weaknesses within days, leading to a much more efficient, high-tech version of the Ninja Storm war.
