If Karone had grown up on KO-35 with her brother Andros, the entire “United Alliance of Evil” would have looked different. Dark Specter would have lacked his “Queen of Evil,” meaning Ecliptor might have remained a solo general or a different human child would have been corrupted. Andros wouldn’t have been a brooding loner searching the galaxy for his sister; he would have been a confident leader from the start, potentially preventing the fall of KO-35 entirely.
Without the “Astronema” redemption arc, the emotional core of In Space would be gone. However, the season would have focused more on the Space Rangers acting as a galactic police force. Karone would likely have been the Pink or Yellow Space Ranger from the beginning. The “Z-Wave” at the end of the season would have been a purely tactical victory rather than a personal tragedy for Andros, changing the “finale of the Zordon era” into a triumphant celebration of a family that stayed together.
