During the Samurai era, there were plans for a more substantial Bulk and Spike presence. If they had been the main characters of their own sub-series, the “Power Rangers” would have been seen from the perspective of the common man. We would have seen the chaos, the property damage, and the sheer absurdity of living in a world where giant robots fight monsters every Tuesday.
This would have been the “Parks and Rec” of the Ranger world. It would have provided a much-needed sense of scale and humor, making the Rangers feel like distant, god-like figures while Bulk and Spike dealt with the “real” problems of Angel Grove/Panorama City. It would have been a love letter to the fans who grew up with the original duo, bridging the gap between the 90s and the modern era through comedy.
