The Mystic Force Rangers were ordinary teens who were drawn into a magical forest. If they had ignored the call and stayed in their “Human” world, the underworld would have risen unchecked. The season would have become an “urban fantasy” where the magic was hidden in plain sight, with the Rangers acting like a secret society protecting an oblivious public from shadow monsters.
The contrast between the “mundane” world and the “magical” world would be the main focus. Instead of living in a tree, the Rangers would be balancing jobs at the Rock Porium with secret spell-casting in back alleys. This would have given the show a Harry Potter or Buffy the Vampire Slayer vibe, making the magic feel more dangerous and “forbidden” rather than a colorful tool for justice.
