It was announced at the Kamen Rider 55th Anniversary Launch Event the next Kamen Rider Series after Kamen Rider ZEZTZ.
The new series titled “Kamen Rider MY-TH” (仮面ライダーマイス), is the 8th entry of the Reiwa Kamen Rider franchise, the overall 37th entry of the Kamen Rider franchise, and the 55th anniversary Kamen Rider franchise.
Announced by Toei producer Naomi Takebe, the Rider’s name, MY-TH is pronounced like “mice”. The word “myth” carries the meaning of “legend” or “folklore”. Producer Takebe explained that the program will be “a story of a single individual who becomes a become of hope, carving out the future, and eventually becoming a mythical figure.”
Aside from the name of the Kamen Rider, the show’s logo was also revealed. Producer Takebe revealed that the show’s logo is a hint on the hero’s motif, highlighting its triangular shape, the small holes, and the yellow highlights. She also stated that, “Kamen Rider started with a hero who fought with the power of a grasshopper, and the latest installment will also feature an unexpected motif. It will be a hero where a small creature unleashes its strongest power.”
