Back on I5109, Kiki and Koto encounter a woman and her daughter who are being targeted by the elusive Phantom Thief Fade. The thief seeks a specific Emorgear, and the situation turns critical when the device goes out of control, putting the child in immediate danger.

Reiji arrives just in time to assist the forensic detectives in a frantic rescue mission. While they manage to save the child, Fade manages to escape with a valuable prize, leaving the heroes with more questions about the thief’s true identity.
